From tenant to landlord - Mr B, Truro

Mr B of Truro first came to The Letting People in 2004, looking for a 2 bedroom house to rent in Leamington Spa.  Once he had finished his tenancy we heard that he had bought a 3 bedroom house, and we were delighted when, in 2009, Mr B contacted us again to ask about renting out this property as he had been happy as one of our tenants. Having been made redundant from his job, he was now moving down to his native Cornwall to start a new life. The Letting People are able to stay in touch on a regular basis with emails about property visits, reports on maintenance and repairs to his property, and about any changes in tenancies.

We are always pleased to hear about our landlords’ new lives and we are delighted that Mr B has now settled into an excellent new job and is renovating an old property with his new partner.

All abroad! - Miss A, Gloucester

Miss A from Gloucester first came to The Letting People in 2008 as she was being made redundant from her job. She had decided to turn this unexpected situation into an opportunity to set off to Australia for a year on a working holiday visa with her friends, who were in similar positions themselves. We were delighted when she decided to cancel her appointments with other letting agents and went ahead straightaway with our Let and Management Service whilst she was abroad.

Since her return to England, she has decided to change to our Let and Rent Collection (Guaranteed) service so that she can look after the day-to-day maintenance of her property whilst The Letting People sort out all the legal and financial processes that ensure a smooth letting.

She is now returning to university and has started another new life, reassured that she does not have to deal with the all the paperwork to ensure an easy and straightforward tenancy process.

Keeping it in the family - Mr S, Bournemouth

Mr S of Bournemouth first came to The Letting People in 2006 after a recommendation from his parents (whose property is also let by The Letting People). He has lived on the south coast for many years and has little time to manage his investment apartment.

After a few lettings the property was showing signs of wear and tear and was failing to attract the same rent as similar properties in the area. In agreement with Mr S, The Letting People have been able to ‘makeover’ the property (redecoration, new carpet, new curtains, and change furnishings) and he now has a guaranteed 3 year tenancy (with no void periods).

Now this landlord enjoys a guaranteed rental income each month with our No Fee/Guaranteed Rent service and he has no need to travel up from the south coast to maintain his property.
